The Sunny Cafe

A small corner cafe with large windows looking out onto the streets and comfortable chairs to sit and chat with friends.

"Have you heard about parasites you can buy to insert into the male so he'll be able to bear a child for his male partner?" Adam asked them.

Flo blinked and shook his head, "I haven't but... he... he had one? But how...? You didn't know?" he asked.

"No, I didn't. He must have conceived sometime during the honeymoon." Adam store down at the table. "He never told me... until last night after all was done. He'd been carrying the child for a very short while... it wasn't developed at all when I pulled it out."

Flo nodded, "Did he say anything about it after...?" he asked, thinking Minya must have been devastated by such a thing happening and not believing for an instant that he wouldn't have told Adam. 'Maybe he was afraid Adam would make him get rid of it...' he thought.

"He was very incoherent afterwards. I could barely understand what he was saying." Adam finally looked up to him. "He mentioned the parasite and that he was in pain... that was pretty much it. We haven't said a word about last night since."

He frowned and nodded, "He may have been too scared to tell you about it... but why he would do it isn't that hard to see, I guess..." he sighed.

He sighed and looked out the window. "I don't know what Minya's feeling right now and I don't know how to react to all this. I feel terrible about what I put him through... but... I feel a bit betrayed by what he did as well. On top of everything though, I think I feel worse for killing his child..."

He paused and nodded, "You have the right to feel betrayed, but I'm not sure if he'd really be able to find a way to make it up to you or anything... at least he's probably depressed after going through those shocks all at once..." he said quietly, "If you really don't know how he's feeling the only thing I can think of is for you to just ask him, I don't think he'd lie, not to you at this point."

"I just... don't want to scare him anymore than I probably did last night. He's fragile right now.. and to be truthful so am I. I don't want either of us to end up getting hurt." He sighed again.

He nodded, "I don't really know what to tell you other than to just give it time... bringing Minya somewhere else might help you both too. I guess that apartment probably holds some scary moments for both of you now." he said, "If you ever need us to come over it's fine, I can understand if you'd be worried about leaving him alone... speaking of which..."

"I waited for him to fall asleep before I left and I sent Alice away with Haruhi." he said and rubbed his face. "I'm most worried about him becoming depressed and doing some drastic."

He lowered his ears and nodded, "All we can do is make sure he isn't by himself." he said, "He'll probably be very dependant on others for now..." he said and looked up at him, "Has he been more clingy since last night?" he asked.

Adam frowned and shrugged. "Hard to say, Minya has always been fairly clingy. I don't mind it though."

He nodded slowly, "Well just try to keep him at a normal mood, making him smile might be hard... a real smile at least." he said, "I'm just assuming though, but as I said before, we'll help if we can." he smiled and ordered two pieces of strawberry shortcake to go, paying and giving one to Adam with a small smile, "He told me he liked strawberries once, he might like that."

He smiled and nodded taking it. "Thank you, and thanks for the help." He smiled softly at him.

He nodded, "Minya's our friend. He's almost like a little brother to me... I'd hate to see him depressed." he said softly, "I hope you two will feel better soon."

He nodded and sighed standing up. "Thank you again. I'll see you two later then, feel free to stop by." He smiled lightly and left.
